Grilled Cheese Recipe
This project involved us taking a recipe and illustrating it. I took a mixed media approach with a very tasty mac n cheese grilled cheese recipe. This would be one of my first forerays into mixed media that I would fall in love with.
MYERS 3D Wall
I'm a member of Design x 9 and this was one of the projects to come out of that studio! The MYERS School of Art wanted some artwork to cover the window so students could work without the fear of being watched. Lead by Emily Townsend, the two of us developed this artwork.
New Yorker Magazine Cover
A project that hits a little closer to home, we had to create a cover for the New Yorker magazine and then animate it. I centered my around the topic of Asian American hate in America, something that is still an issue today. The Statue of Liberty has turned its back on the Twinkie; an offensive name used by Asian to discriminate against Asian Americans for being Asian on the outside, but being White inside.
Mac n' Cheese Package Design
My first packaging project, we had to create a design system to be cohesive and different across three different boxes. The theme of my design is "Sexy Mac n Cheese," playing with the idea of adult packaging and humor. Swallow is the pasta that hits just right every time.
Rockne's Mini Rebrand
Part of my Corporate Identity class, we rebranded three different companies and one of companies I particially built out was Rockne's! Its a local restrautant chain that was inspired by the Notre Dame football team.
Kindling Magazine
This project I developed a magazine called Kindling, focused on keeping people up to date on protests that have happened and are up coming, as well as providing information on how to attend one. This was the first time I played with a scanner and used that to help build imagery and texture.
