This project had us creating a cover for a possible New Yorker magazine. I based mine around the topic of Asian American hate. I had various ideas, but I landed on the idea of a Twinkie, which is also a slur used against Asian Americans, representing how "they may look like an Asian, but they are actually American." The statue of Liberty has turned its back to Asian Americans and their struggles.

This project had us create a brand of mac & cheese that was visually alike but you could tell the difference between the flavors. I ended up basing mine around this idea of an adult gag gift: sexy mac & cheese.

This project had us creating a new fake magazine. I made mine around the idea of informing people about protests that were going on or ways to help people take care of themselves if they join a protest. This project definitely got a bit out of scope, as I tried to make the pages 19inches by 13inches; a very large magazine.

My studio, design x nine, was tasked with covering a hallway in the 3D wing of the Myers School of Art. They wanted an artwork to keep the hallway interesting to people on the outside, but give the artists inside some privacy. Taking a general art theme in mind, we came up with a variety of designs and the client decided on this direction. A sort of eye spy with a continous lineart and various tools of the trade.

For this project we had to illustrate a recipe. A lot of people went with family recipes, which were all super cute and thoughtful! My family doesn't really have any recipes I'm attached to, so I went with this super tasty mac & cheese grilled cheese recipe! I had a lot of fun mixing photography and illustration!

Package Design

I was tasked with creating new artwork for the METRO Transit Center. It has several banners that hadn't been updated since 2020. I came up with two different themes to be decided, a nature theme with children's book inspiration or a scifi theme with a more edgy, modern asthetic.

The PR Team really liked the nature idea and so we pushed forward with that one. Eventually the idea to use photography and illustration got brought up! Here are the early concepts for the characters.

For this project, our studio was asked to create multiple concepts for the upcoming annual Chagrin Film Fest! This was my design for the project. It started out a little rocky, unsure of where I wanted to take it, but I decided to push forward with my chunky hand lettering. I do really like the other concept I came up with however.

This project had us design an app to solve a problem. I focused my around the idea that sometimes an alarm isn't enough and we need something to get us to stop what we are doing and do what we need to do. Hold Up! is an app designed to help curb your bad habits with challenges to engage your brain or your body, breaking you out of the routine. Users can choose different ways to stop themselves like sleeping in too late, doomscrolling, or overspending. Hold Up!’s variety allows users to cater the app to their specific needs and wants.
